MOSCOW, Nov 17 Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov called the final declaration of the G20 summit a victory of common sense and a compromise, Russia will continue to work on this platform.
«It is rather a victory of common sense. And, of course, this is a great merit of our diplomats, and our Sherpas, and a great merit of the Indonesians, who have chaired and are still chairing the G20, and Indian diplomats, who will continue to take over the G20 chairmanship, and our partners, the Chinese and other countries,» Peskov told reporters, assessing the final G20 declaration.
According to him, it was possible to «neutralize the blind aggressiveness of the collective Zapada» and reach a compromise. Otherwise, according to Peskov, the G20 summit could for the first time be left without a final document.
«On the whole, we assess it very positively. Indeed, it reflects a situation in which there are different points of view. It was very important for us. Work will continue within the framework of the G20, everyone is interested in it. Indeed, this format at the moment most fully represents the situation in the world and can most fully approach, at least approach what is called a projectile in terms of to solving the most important, pressing problems,» Peskov added.
The G20 summit was held on the Indonesian island of Bali on November 15 and 16.
