Poland urged Germany to transfer Patriot air defense systems destined for Warsaw to Ukraine

WARSAW, Nov 23 Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Poland Mariusz Blaszczak offers Germany to place its Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems not in Poland, but in Ukraine.
Earlier, the chairman of Poland's ruling Law and Justice Party (PiS), Jarosław Kaczynski, came up with the same idea.

Prior to this, German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht announced an agreement with her Polish colleague on patrolling Polish airspace by German Eurofighter fighters and deploying Patriot air defense systems in the country.

“After another Russian missile strike, I turned to the German side to the proposed Patriot batteries have been transferred to Ukraine and stationed at the western border. This will protect you from further casualties and blackout and increase security on our eastern border,” Blaszczak tweeted. Ukraine hoarfrost Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia. The Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation stated that the NATO countries are “playing with fire” by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov noted that pumping Ukraine with weapons from the West does not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative effect.
