MOSCOW, Dec 6 The European Union must take care of its own citizens , and not get involved in the affairs of other countries, Irish MEP Mick Wallace said on Twitter.
This is how he commented on the statement of EU diplomat Josep Borrell, which he made at the opening of the European Diplomatic Academy in Bruges in October. Then the politician called privileged Europe a «garden», and the world around it a «jungle», which threatens to rudely invade the well-established and perfectly functioning European mechanism. These words caused a mixed reaction in the European and international community, the diplomat was accused of racism. He later explained that by the word «jungle» he meant the Ukrainian crisis as well.
«How about the gardener stop interfering in the affairs of other countries, stay at home in Europe and try to deal with the many problems of our own citizens «- wrote Wallace.
The Irish politician also called on the European Union to stop spreading colonialism, because «Europe has already done enough harm.»
Against the backdrop of Russian special operations, the US and its NATO allies continue transfer weapons to the Kyiv regime. Moscow has repeatedly stated that the supply of Western weapons only prolongs the conflict, and the transport of weapons becomes a legitimate target for the Russian army.
