MOSCOW, Feb. 2 The situation with the energy supply of consumers in Ukraine has improved , the Energy Department said on Thursday.
«On Thursday, the situation with energy supply to consumers improved somewhat compared to the previous day. Due to the completion of repair work at some power units of thermal generation and weather conditions, a decrease in the volume of power shortages is expected compared to yesterday. Thus, the expected deficit for the evening maximum will be about 19% of the demand,» the Ministry of Energy said in a Facebook post*.
Earlier, the national energy company «Ukrenergo» reported on a significant shortage of power in the energy system of Ukraine, which is why stabilization and emergency blackouts occur throughout the country.
Strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure of the RF Armed Forces began on October 10 — two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, behind which, according to the Russian authorities, the Ukrainian special services stand. The strikes are carried out on energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities throughout the country. In December, Volodymyr Zelensky said that it was now impossible to completely restore the energy system of Ukraine.
