Governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev said in his Telegram channel that the cause of the fire was an electrical short inside the building. According to him, the fire occurred in the «household premises of the border control» and caused the explosion of containers with fuel and lubricants.
The fire area is 800 square meters. 14 pieces of equipment and 63 rescuers are taking part in extinguishing the fire. One victim is known. Also, according to the head of the region, residents began to evacuate from houses near the border control.
