Lukashenka copied Putin in his address to Belarusians

“We must not depend on the whims of the Western elites”

“We must not depend on the whims of the Western elites,” Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said during his annual address to the people and parliament touching on aspects of economic development. According to him, the country, crushed by sanctions, should rely on large-scale import substitution. Fortunately, Belarus has everything for this.

Referring to the economic block of problems, Lukashenka said that Belarus has already achieved a lot by choosing, unlike its neighbors, its own path, focused on creating a socially oriented economy.

“We were predicted to collapse. But we survived. We have created an economy without oligarchs,” Lukashenka noted this as one of the main achievements of the Belarusian economy. However, according to him, now the country needs to seize the moment and quickly begin to develop scientific and technical industries. “They took us too hard. We are a threat to the Western project. Because we are going our own way. But we agreed — you will have to pay for sovereignty.

Now our houses are comfortable, the stores have everything, the enterprises are working, it is safe on the streets. But you can lose it all in one moment.

Therefore, Lukashenka said that one should not relax. The country has a chance that should not be missed.

Listening to the President of Belarus, one involuntarily recalls President Putin's recent address to the people and parliament. It seems that the leaders of the two countries have agreed on topics & nbsp; their appeals during their regular contacts. But, most likely, it was just the common challenges facing the two countries that led the presidents to common theses. Not without reason, in his speech, Lukashenka devoted a lot of time to joint allied programs, advising manufacturers to work more actively with Russian partners.

He said that together with Russia they had already launched 15 projects in mechanical engineering, recommending that Belarusian aircraft manufacturers also pay attention to that in Russia they began to revive the national aircraft industry. «Be more active in offering your products to Russian partners,» he advised.
