KEMEROVO, April 21 A resident of the Novokuznetsk district opened fire on law enforcers during a search, injuring one of them, the Kuzbass head office of the RF IC reported on Friday.
According to Kommersant, this is about Grigory Makarevich, the general director of the Novokuznetsk DRSU company, which is engaged in the construction and maintenance of roads.
«The figurant, wanting to prevent <…> employees, fired at least five shots from a firearm in their direction. As a result of the attack, one of the employees suffered injuries that did not cause harm to health,» the SUSK said in a release.
The incident occurred the day before, when a group of employees of the Investigative Committee, OMON and the FSB arrived to search a private house.
As a result, the man was «neutralized and detained», and now he has already been imprisoned in a pre-trial detention center. He was charged under two articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — on the encroachment on the life of «the person conducting the preliminary investigation» and on the life of a law enforcement officer.
The case in which the search was conducted is not officially disclosed, but Kommersant writes that Makarevich appears in the criminal case of the former deputy head of the capital construction department of the Kemerovo administration, Tatyana Sumakova.
The case is related to the overhaul of the Byzovsky highway, which was carried out in 2019-2021. Novokuznetsk DRSU, as a contractor, felled the forest, for which the company allegedly received an overpayment of 9 million rubles.
The control bodies and FSB officers revealed the mistake, and the contractor returned the funds, while Sumakova was sentenced to eight months probation for negligence in November last year. She admitted her guilt.
