NIZHNY NOVGOROD, April 24A resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region doused his neighbors with gasoline and tried to burn them alive because of the noisy grinder they used during the repair, according to the regional investigation department of the RF IC.
According to investigators, on April 23, at about 9:30 p.m., a drunk suspect in a garage located on his house plot in the village of May 1, Balakhna municipal district, filled a plastic bottle with gasoline, approached the neighboring site, set fire to the gasoline in the bottle and began to spray the burning liquid on the neighbors. An elderly man and woman put out the flames on themselves, but received thermal burns and were hospitalized, the woman is in intensive care. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder of two persons committed in a generally dangerous way).
«The suspect was detained. grinder. The suspect was dissatisfied with the noise that accompanied the work,» the SUSK said in a statement.
In the near future, the suspect will be charged and a measure of restraint will be chosen.
