The list included Alibaba AliExpress, Amazon Store, Apple AppStore, Booking .com, Facebook*, Google Play, Google Maps, Google Shopping, Instagram*, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, Wikipedia, YouTube and Zalando. At the same time, the search engines Bing and Google Search will fall under increased EU control.
After being listed on the list of these platforms, companies will have to review their policies and «adjust their systems» in accordance with the new legislation within four months, aimed at protecting the personal data of online users, limiting malicious content, disinformation and establishing clear conditions for using platforms.
