The 2nd Western District Military Court sentenced a resident of Vyborg to 11 years in prison in the case of an attempt to set fire to a military registration and enlistment office. The Petersburg Diary writes about this with reference to the press service of the FSB department for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
The man was found guilty of assisting terrorist activities (Part 4 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code). The convict will spend the first three years of punishment in prison, the rest of the term in a special regime colony. He was also given a year of restriction of freedom after his release.
According to investigators, he conspired with a citizen of Ukraine, after which he tried to set fire to the military enlistment office in Vyborg. The verdict has entered into force.
