MOSCOW, June 3 A collection of poems about a special military operation from poets-children will soon appear in Russia, said the chairman of the board of the Union Russian writers Nikolai Ivanov at the Red Square book festival.

"Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow we are already handing over <…> the eighth collection is the collection «The Call of Young Hearts». These are already children's poems about the special operation,» he said.
Ivanov explained that the works were written by students of military institutions, as well as children whose parents participate in the SVO. He added that since February 24, 2022, seven collections of poems on this topic have already been published. According to the writer, the first of them began to be compiled on the third or fourth day after the start of the special operation.
«We noted such an emotional outburst among poets in social networks. Yes, they responded. <…> In March, we collected the first collection and saw that yes, there is poetry and the collection can be ready,» Ivanov emphasized.
Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Vladimir Putin called its goal «the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.»
