MOSCOW, June 13 Musician Paul McCartney said that artificial intelligence has finished the last song of The Beatles, reports The Guardian.
McCartney used special technology to extract the voice of his late colleague John Lennon from an old demo. The composition, whose name has remained a secret, will be released at the end of the year.
According to media reports, it could be one of the recordings on the cassette marked «For Paul», which was given to McCartney by Lennon's widow Yoko Ono after the musician's death. A source suggested that the 1978 love song Now and Then was in the pipeline for release.
The Beatles began work on the song in the mid-1990s, but could not make out the lyrics due to the poor quality of the recording. Then Now and Then was shelved.
After that, McCartney spoke for years about his desire to release the song, but was held back by the lack of technical ability to make a better recording.
