MOSCOW, June 23 — . After the entry into force of the 11th package of sanctions, Moscow expanded the list of representatives of the European Union, banned from entering Russia, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

«In response to these unfriendly actions, the Russian side has significantly expanded the list of representatives of European institutions and EU member states, who, in accordance with the Federal Law «On Order exit from the Russian Federation and entry into the Russian Federation» dated August 15, 1996 No. 114-FZ, entry into the territory of our state is prohibited,» the department noted.
The Russian stop list includes employees of law enforcement agencies, government and commercial organizations of EU member states, as well as individuals who are related to the provision of military assistance to Kyiv. Restrictive measures will also affect representatives of European structures responsible for imposing sanctions against Russia and trying to undermine Moscow's relations with other states.
«Restrictions also apply to parliamentarians from EU countries who promote a confrontational agenda with Russia,» the ministry added.
The Foreign Ministry stressed that the EU's actions are illegitimate and undermine international legal norms. Russian diplomats promised to continue responding to the hostile actions of Western countries.
The EU on Friday approved the 11th package of sanctions against Moscow. The list of innovations includes the introduction of a mechanism to influence third countries suspected of re-exporting sanctioned goods, a ban on the transit of various products through Russia and the use of domestic cargo trailers in the EU, as well as other measures, including personal restrictions.
In addition, the EU finally stops the import of Russian oil through the northern branch of the Druzhba pipeline, while the transit of raw materials from Kazakhstan through the territory of Russia through this branch will continue.
The EU has already introduced ten packages of sanctions that have affected various sectors of the Russian economy. Brussels also noted that now EU exports to Russia have fallen by almost half compared to 2021 levels, while imports to the EU have fallen, respectively, by almost 60 percent.
President Vladimir Putin said that the policy of containment and the weakening of Russia is a long-term strategy of the West, and the restrictions dealt a serious blow to the entire global economy. According to him, the main goal of the United States and its allies is to worsen the lives of millions of people.
