ISTANBUL, Jun 23 The forest fire started in Friday in the Turkish resort of Marmaris in the province of Muğla, according to the Turkish Forestry Authority.
«We started extinguishing the forest fire in Marmaris within five minutes,» the press release said.
Five planes, four helicopters and 20 fire engines participate in extinguishing the fire. Videos circulated on social networks show that the forest is burning in the immediate vicinity of residential buildings in Marmaris.
Also on Friday, a forest fire broke out in the resort of Kas in Antalya, but the fire was extinguished within an hour, trees were damaged on the area of about one hectare.
