SIMFEROPOL, June 21 Working group of the Crimean Parliament began preparing an appeal to the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation to recognize as illegitimate and cancel the decree of 1954 on the transfer of the peninsula to Ukraine, said the head of parliament Vladimir Konstantinov.
Earlier, he instructed a specially formed working group to prepare an appeal to the Constitutional Court of Russia on recognition as illegitimate and annulment of the 1954 decree on the transfer of the peninsula to Ukraine. At the same time, the working group came to the conclusion that there was not a single reason for the transfer of Crimea from the RSFSR to the Ukrainian SSR in 1954.
«The working group is preparing. First, a draft resolution will be formed, which will be adopted by the state council of the republic. We also need to get all the conclusions, including the state legal department of the president, that this issue may be under consideration. After We are submitting this to the Constitutional Court,» Konstantinov told reporters.
According to him, the recognition of the decision to transfer Crimea to the Ukrainian SSR as illegal is important from a moral and historical point of view.
