WASHINGTON Jun 30 US President Joe Biden's slurred way of speaking did not allow to make out whether he knew in advance about the latest events in Russia.
In an interview with MSNBC, Biden was asked to tell what he knew in advance from what «happened in Russia», referring, probably, to the Saturday rebellion of the head of the group » Wagner» by Yevgeny Prigozhin.
«I can't tell you… what… we knew (some) things in advance,» the president replied, leaving journalists wondering whether to put a comma before «what» or a period after it .
The host did not elaborate, but asked if Biden thought that his predecessor, Donald Trump, would have warned Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
«Oh, God, I don't know. I I don't think about it very often,» Biden said.
Much of the brief interview focused on domestic affairs, including the high-profile Supreme Court decision to ban US universities from granting racial admission benefits.
