WASHINGTON, June 28 The American Film Academy has invited Russian directors Maxim and Evgenia Arbugaev to become members of the organization, the American Film Academy announced on Wednesday.
As the organization notes, the invitation was sent to 398 filmmakers for their contribution to the industry.
«The Academy is delighted to welcome these professionals… They represent outstanding talent from around the world in all areas of the film industry and have made a vital contribution to the industry and to film lovers around the world,» said Academy President Bill Krarer.
The list presented by the film academy includes directors Arbugaev, they were invited by the documentary department.
The picture «Exit» by the Yakut directors of the brother and sister Arbugaevs was previously among the contenders for the Oscar film award in the nomination «Best Documentary Short Film».
