The Basmanny District Court of Moscow is considering a motion to extend the arrest of Alexander Permyakov, accused of attempting to assassinate ultra-conservative writer and co-chairman of Just Russia Zakhar Prilepin. The meeting was closed from the audience at the request of the investigation, the correspondent of «Mediazona» reports.
The investigator motivated his request as follows: “The orderers of the terrorist act have not been identified and the weapons of the crime have not been established in full. At the court session, the results of operational-search measures and the persons who directly carried out the detention of Permyakov may be disclosed. The prosecutor and the lawyer did not object.
Soon, the court extended the arrest of Permyakov, he will remain in jail until at least October 3, SOTA reports.

The assassination attempt on Zakhar Prilepin took place on May 6 — his car exploded in the Borsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The writer's guard died on the spot, he himself was seriously injured. On the same day, the investigation detained 29-year-old Alexander Permyakov. According to the Investigative Committee, he acted on instructions from the Ukrainian special services.
Permyakov was accused of committing a terrorist attack (Article 205 of the Criminal Code) and illegal arms trafficking (Article 222 of the Criminal Code).
