The Presnensky District Court of Moscow sent Alexander Nesterov, head of NIO-3 JSC of the Avtomatika concern, owned by Rostec, to a pre-trial detention center. Mediazona was informed about this by the press service of the court.
Nesterov is accused in the case of fraud on an especially large scale (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code). Earlier, a card appeared on the website of the Presnensky Court on the choice of a measure of restraint for A. Motorko — the surname and initials of the person involved in the case coincide with the full name of the general director of the Avtomatika concern Andrey Motorko. He is also charged with an article on fraud.
On June 28, Kommersant, citing the Investigative Committee, reported that the security forces had opened a criminal case on the fact of fraud against «unidentified persons» from Avtomatika. The company's office was searched.
According to investigators, the concern received a subsidy of 300 million rubles from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, presenting as its development antenna systems purchased in China to provide satellite communications in cars, trains, water and air transport. Nesterov himself led the satellite systems project.
The Avtomatika Concern has been part of the Rostec structure since 2014. As they say on the website of Avtomatika, this is a holding company that develops systems and complexes designed to ensure the protection of information.
