The relatives of Alexei Navalny filed a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court against correctional colony No. 6, where the politician is located, demanding to be allowed to visit him. This was reported in the social networks of the oppositionist.
As stated in the publication, over the past year, Navalny has not had a single meeting with relatives, he managed to call his relatives only twice in the last 11 months. At the same time, as the oppositionist notes, according to the law, he is entitled to three long and three short-term visits with relatives per year, as well as at least six phone calls to relatives.
“With the help of all sorts of tricks and "disciplinary actions" officials of the prison system invented a special regime for me, in which everything is simply forbidden, ”Navalny’s post says. This, according to the politician, violates not only his rights, but also the rights of his relatives, whom the oppositionist cannot see.
“The constitution guarantees the rights of my children — they have the right to see me, and I am obliged to participate in their upbringing. The constitution guarantees the rights of my elderly parents, I am obliged, as far as I can, to take care of them. So, communicate with them. And they were not allowed into the hall even in the first «open» the day of my judgment <…> So the Navalny family became a collective plaintiff,” the politician concluded.
