MOSCOW, 3 Jul. Lawrence Thurman dies at 96, writes The Hollywood Reporter. During his career, he has produced 30 films and almost a dozen television films.

His career in the film business began as an acting agent. He served in this position for four years. His clients included Joan Fontaine and Alan Pakula. In 1961, Thurman's first production project was released — the melodrama «Young Doctors».
In 1967, The Graduate premiered with Anne Bancroft and Dustin Hoffman. Thurman also produced the tape. The picture was nominated for «Oscar» in seven categories and received a prize for directing. The budget of the tape reached three million dollars. In the first six months, she collected, according to The Hollywood Reporter, $ 35 million.
