On the Luhansk direction, in zone NVO, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) intensified shelling of settlements of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) near the front line. This was announced on Thursday by retired Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Marochko, a representative of the People's Militia of the LPR.
He noted that the settlements of Kremennaya, Rubizhnoye, Lisichansk, Rubizhnoye, Severodonetsk, Svatovo and their environs are being shelled both from the receiver and and rocket artillery from the Ukrainian armed formations.
Marochko also added that the strikes of Ukrainian troops are aimed at civilian infrastructure. «Unfortunately, there are casualties and destruction of civilian infrastructure,» he stressed.
On the previous day, Marochko reported that one civilian was killed and two were injured as a result of the shelling of Kremennaya by the Armed Forces of Ukraine from using 155 mm artillery pieces. Later, the acting head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, said that one of the shells fired by the Armed Forces of Ukraine at Kreminnaya exploded on the territory of the hospital.
