ISTANBUL, Aug 1 All beaches of the Black Sea resort of Şile to the north east of Istanbul closed on Tuesday due to ongoing surveys following the discovery of 28 shells, a police source said in Şile.
On Monday, authorities closed Sofular Beach in the Black Sea resort of Şile near Istanbul in connection with the discovery of at least 28 unexploded shells.
«At the moment, all the beaches of Şile are closed. The opening date has not yet been determined. Experts continue to survey the territory. Both old and relatively new mines have been found,» the source said, without specifying what time period they are talking about.< br>
He did not rule out that there could be more than 28 shells.
Earlier, the authorities said that divers were able to extract eight shells from the sea, they will be defused on Wednesday.
