MOSCOW, Aug 29 2023 election campaign differs by a small percentage of refusals to register candidates — less than 1.5%, this was facilitated by the preparedness of the nominees and the work carried out by the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, head of the CEC of the Russian Federation, said in an interview.
«We, in turn, have created the maximum necessary conditions to make it easier for all participants in the electoral process to overcome the formal part during registration, draw up financial documents, and so on. And this has yielded results: what else distinguishes the current campaign — we simply a tiny percentage of refusals to register is less than 1.5%,» Pamfilova said.
The head of the Central Election Commission believes that such an indicator of refusals to register candidates was facilitated, on the one hand, by the better preparedness of candidates, and on the other, by the work carried out by the Central Election Commission.
«We helped them with our materials, methods and templates of various kinds on how to properly draw up documents so that there are fewer reasons for bureaucratic hooks. This pleases us, this was our goal,» she explained .
Elections in Russia will be held on a single voting day on September 10.
