On Tuesday “Spartak” won a crushing victory over ” Dynamo” in the capital's derby, which took place as part of the third round of the group stage of the RPL path of the Russian Cup, with a score of 4:1. slowed down, losing to Ural (2:3), Zenit (1:3) and tied with Akhmat (0:0). In the Cup of Russia, the “red-whites” performed quite successfully and took first place in the group on the eve of the derby, and “Dynamo” – the second. As for the White-and-Blues, the victories over Baltika (2:0) and CSKA (2:1), as well as a very tense draw with Rubin (2:2) said that Marcel Lichka's team is now is in a cheerful mood.

The day of the match was overshadowed by the news of the missing 16-year-old figure skater Alina Gorbacheva. Later, she was found unharmed, but a few hours before the start of the game, the search teams and the police were looking for the figure skater, and a banner appeared on the media screen of the Spartak stadium with a focus on the missing athlete. However, by the starting whistle it was almost clear that Gorbacheva's life was unlikely to be in danger, so the audience was focused on football.
About 20 thousand spectators gathered at the stadium. Not such a stir, of course, as at the game between Spartak and Zenit, where there were about 35,000 fans, but by today's standards, an impressive figure. Cloudy weather and drizzling rain did not prevent people from coming to the stadium.
The Dynamo starting lineup did not include Konstantin Tyukavin and Fabian Balbuena, which is hard to imagine in a championship match. Sergei Parshivlyuk put on the captain's armband. Saba Sazonov was already on his way to Turin, so Lichka was forced to experiment with the center of defense, which was formed by Roberto Fernandez and Alexander Kutitsky.
Dynamo's newcomers, Mexican midfielder Luis Chavez and Colombian footballer Jorge Carrascal, who until recently defended the colors of CSKA, were announced for the match and entered the field in the second half.
Spartak's starting lineup also had changes. Ruslan Litvinov, for whose absence in the matches with Zenit and Akhmat Guillermo Abascal received a portion of criticism, left from the first minutes. Quincy Promes and Theo Bongonda remained on the bench. In a cup match, this alignment seems normal.

By the 15th minute of the meeting, the debut goal was scored by the newcomer of the “red-whites” Srdzhan Babić. The tribunes drove Abaskal's team forward, Spartak caught courage, at the end of the 25th minute the ball hit the Dynamo goal net twice more: Sobolev scored a brace, and Anton Zinkovsky ran into a counterattack and hit Leshchuk's goal, even the ex could not stop him -Spartakist Parshivlyuk.
Lichka, taking into account the failed game of the team, made substitutions: Nicholas Marichal and Mumi Ngamalyo entered the field instead of Kutitsky and Yaroslav Gladyshev. Dynamo began to create more chances at the gates of Spartak, but failed to score in the first half. During the break, the audience witnessed the birth of a new family – one of the fans of “Spartak” proposed to his girlfriend, she agreed. Dynamo tried to take the initiative, but it turned out sporadically. Dmitry Skopintsev, who scored beautiful and effective dribbling in the match with Rubin, tried to realize a similar moment, but missed the goal. Chavez, who made his debut, actively joined the game and immediately after entering the field gave an assist, Ngamaleu hit Maksimenko's goal from the island corner. Carrascal, on the other hand, is remembered only for his rough and aggressive move against Alexis Duarte, for which he received a yellow card.
Dynamo suffered their first major defeat under the leadership of Lichka. “Spartak” successfully rehabilitated after a series of failures and pleased the fans with a beautiful game.
