KAZAN, Sep 4, Adela Ziatdinova. Russian Diving Federation water (RFPV) will study with lawyers all the criteria from the International Aquatics Federation (World Aquatics) for the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to international competitions, the press service of the organization reported.
On Monday, World Aquatics on the official website published the criteria for the admission of Russians and Belarusians to international competitions, allowing them to compete only in individual disciplines in a neutral status.
“We will study in detail all the criteria together with colleagues and lawyers and make a consolidated decision,” the press service said.
Russians and Belarusians will not be able to compete in duets or group starts in synchronized swimming, water polo, as well as in synchronized diving and relay races in swimming.
In March 2022, World Aquatics suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in international competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
