MOSCOW, September 7 Peruvian archaeologists have discovered a 1,000-year-old mummy in Lima, Western media report.
“Archaeologists in Peru have discovered a 1,000-year-old mummy,” Reuters reported.
The head of the group, Mirella Ganoza, told the agency that the remains were found along with ceramic vessels and textiles in Lima.
“This is an adult in a sitting position with bent legs,” the team leader told the agency.
As noted, the mummy has long hair and an almost completely preserved jaw.
