MOSCOW, September 9 The death toll from the earthquake in Morocco has increased to 632, the Al-Arabiya TV channel reported, citing data from the Ministry of Interior.
“Another 329 people were injured,” the channel added.
Earlier, the Moroccan News Agency (MAP), citing data from the Ministry of Interior, reported about 296 victims and 153 injured.
An earthquake of magnitude 6.9, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), occurred 80 kilometers from Marrakech. After this, several more tremors with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.4, 3.2 and 3.3 were recorded.
Seismologists warn that aftershocks after the earthquake may occur over the next few hours and even days.
