Commercial models, the production of which was established at the Kaliningrad site, have a completely electric “filling”. The partner was the Foton company.
The Avtotor enterprise located in Kaliningrad produced cars of the BMW, Kia and Hyundai brands in pre-crisis years, but in 2022 the Bavarian and Korean companies froze their business in the Russian Federation. Now the “Chinese” have registered on the assembly line of the multi-brand plant, in particular, we are talking about passenger models SWM, BAIC and Kaiyi, as well as trucks of the JMC brand. Now the commercial sector will be replenished with the addition of another Chinese brand – Brock.

The press service of Avtotor said that in collaboration with the Chinese company Foton (part of the BAIC concern), they began producing light- and medium-duty commercial vehicles with electric “filling”, which are produced for the Russian market under the Brock brand (modifications of the Foton Aumark line S). Two models – with indexes 75 and 160 – were put on the production line at a site located in the village of Pereslavskoye (Kaliningrad region). Avtotor spent 130 million rubles to modernize the production line.
Brock 75 is a light-duty commercial vehicle with a gross weight of 7.5 tons. It is equipped with a lithium-iron-phosphate traction battery with a capacity of 81 kWh, and the range (when driving at a constant speed) on a single charge does not exceed 300 km. With fast charging, you can refill the battery in a couple of hours. The power of the single electric motor is 156 hp.
The Brock 160 medium-duty truck has a gross weight of 16 tons. It received the same type of traction battery with a capacity of 246 kWh. At the same time, its maximum range is also 300 km, and the battery fast charging time takes the same two hours. The “sixteen-ton truck” is also driven by one electric motor, its output is 218 hp.
Avtotor noted that commercial vehicles of the Brock brand can be equipped with “a wide range of universal and special superstructures, including flatbed platforms, vans for various purposes, refrigerators, hydraulic lifts, garbage trucks, tow trucks and others.”

The press service of the Kaliningrad plant noted that in the future commercial models with “local registration” will be equipped with electric motors and a number of components, which will begin to be produced at Avtotor's auto component plants. And the production of traction batteries from fuel cells for these electric vehicles will be established at the site of the Renera company (part of Rosatom) in the city of Neman (Kaliningrad region).
Remember, next to Brock commercial electric vehicles Avtotor has launched the production of Chinese diesel models from JMC (Jiangling Motors Corporation), we are talking about the Vigus pickup truck of the 2022 model year, the Carrying cabover truck weighing from 3.5 to 5 tons, as well as the larger Conquer cabover truck with a gross weight of 9.4 tons.< /p>
