In Lipetsk, a monument to the Novgorod prince Alexander Nevsky was solemnly opened, according to the city administration website.
The sculpture was installed on Ring Square, its height is 4.5 meters. A sign with the text “Let us rise/Heroes of Russia will remain in our hearts/Until the end” was placed on the pedestal of the monument. This is a line from a song by the performer Shaman, whose work became famous with the beginning of the war in Ukraine. Among other things, he is the author of the song “I am Russian.”
The authorities promised that later on the monument there will be an “engraving of a memorable date for all” – the beginning of the war in Ukraine and its end.
