MOSCOW, September 13 Investigators have opened a criminal case for providing unsafe services after four children and an adult were hospitalized with poisoning after lunch at a Kyzyl school. reported in the Telegram channel of the RF IC.
Symptoms of intestinal infection were recorded in 42 students of school No. 18 in Kyzyl and three adults. According to the Investigative Committee, five people were hospitalized, including four schoolchildren and one catering worker. Earlier, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered the initiation of a criminal case into poisoning at a school in the capital of Tuva.
“Based on the fact of food poisoning of students and a school employee, a criminal case has been opened for the provision of services that do not meet the requirements of life safety or health of consumers,” the message says.
According to investigators, on September 12, the hospital received 14 calls about signs of poisoning after lunch at school No. 18. Based on the results of the examination, four students and an employee of the institution were hospitalized with signs of acute intestinal infection. Preliminarily, the condition of one of the schoolchildren is assessed as severe, the rest – moderate.
The investigation examined the scene of the emergency, seized documentation, samples of food and water. All this will be used for chemical, microbiological and other research.
