DONETSK, September 13 During the night, Ukrainian troops fired four shells of 155 mm caliber into Donetsk and two shells of the same caliber in Makeyevka, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported on its telegram channel.
“”After 00:00, shelling was recorded from the side of the VFU (armed formations of Ukraine – ed.) in the direction: 00:30 – the settlement of Semyonovka – the settlement of Makeevka (Chervonogvardeisky district): 2 shells of 155 mm caliber were fired; 04 :50 – Orlovka settlement – Donetsk city (Kiev region): 4 shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters were fired,” the representative office said in a statement.
In addition, it is reported that Ukrainian troops fired two 155 mm shells at Donetsk at 22.50.
155 mm artillery is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Ukraine with long-range howitzers M777 of 155 mm caliber, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
