MOSCOW, September 14 Forest fire services in Russia put out 26 natural fires in one day, Avialesookhrana reports.
“According to regional forestry dispatch services, over the past 24 hours, September 13, 2023, in 11 regions of Russia, forest fire services and involved persons extinguished 26 forest fires on an area covered by fire of 352 hectares,” the report says.
By midnight on September 14, there were 8 forest fires in the country covering an area of 35 hectares, which were being actively extinguished.
The largest fire area was recorded in the Khabarovsk Territory – there are two fires there covering an area of 28 hectares.
