This engine is capable of running on both gasoline and liquefied gas. Its technical characteristics remained unchanged: engine capacity is 4.67 liters, power — 138 horsepower, and torque — 314 Nm. It also complies with Euro-4 environmental standards. or “Euro-5”.
The ZMZ-523, which is recognized as a reliable engine, returned to the Sollers catalog in February, but for more than six months only carburetor versions of the V8 were produced. Now the injection modification ZMZ-524, capable of running on bi-fuel, has been returned to production.
The main consumer of these affordable 4.67-liter “atmospheric” engines developed more than half a century ago is the Pavlovsk Bus Plant. These classic V8s are installed on single-volume buses of the “3205” family. and «3206».
