The widow of the head of Wagner PMC Evgenia Prigozhina changed her last name and became Lyubov Valentinovna Kryazheva, although she previously bore her husband’s last name. Fontanka drew attention to changes in the SPARK system. When you search for Kryazhev’s last name, companies appear in the search results to which the businessman’s widow belongs.
According to journalists, the woman returned her maiden name. As Fontanka clarifies, information about changes in the entrepreneur’s personal data was received by SPARK on September 15, but the date of the change of surname in the passport is unknown.
Crash of Yevgeny Prigozhin’s business jet
On August 23, an Embraer Legacy 600 business jet belonging to Prigozhin crashed in the Tver region. There were ten people on the flight – the founder of Wagner PMC, his associates, and three crew members. All of them died, but, as Mediazona noted, four have so far been included in the register of inheritance cases.
After the plane crash, Prigozhin’s body was identified only by indirect evidence. Later, the Investigative Committee reported that molecular genetic examinations confirmed the death of the founder of a private military company. Based on the incident, a case was opened under the article on violation of traffic safety rules and operation of air transport (Article 263 of the Criminal Code). The departments did not report the official causes of the accident.
According to presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, the investigation suggests that the crash of the business jet was a “deliberate crime.” At the same time, Russia did not allow the aircraft manufacturer, the Brazilian company Embraer, and the Brazilian authorities to participate in the investigation.
Prigozhin was buried “in a closed format” at the end of August at the Porokhovskoye cemetery in St. Petersburg. Dmitry “Wagner” Utkin was buried at the federal military memorial cemetery in Mytishchi. Notary Anatoly Akulenko from the Notary Chamber of St. Petersburg registered the inheritance cases of Prigozhin and Utkin on September 8 and 11.
On the first day of the war in Ukraine, the European Union imposed sanctions against Prigozhin’s mother Violetta and his wife Lyubov. According to RBC, the children of the founder of PMC Wagner, Polina and Pavel, have also been subject to restrictions since 2022. It is unknown whether Prigozhin’s third child is included in the sanctions list.
