MOSCOW, September 18 The State Duma Council unanimously adopted the decision to allow deputies to use only domestically produced cars, the parliament’s press service reported on the Telegram channel.
“The Duma Council unanimously decided to allow deputies to use only cars manufactured in Russia,” the statement says.
It is clarified that starting next year, deputies in each electoral district will be provided exclusively with domestic cars.
The press service emphasized that this decision should contribute to the development of the Russian automobile industry, and “budget funds will remain in the country.”
Earlier, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin stated that the topic of the movement of deputies in Moscow was discussed with the Russian Presidential Administration. It was decided that as company cars were retired, they would be replaced with domestic ones.
