In the city of Bugulma in the Republic of Tatarstan, police detained a 16-year-old teenager and two of his adult acquaintances on suspicion of setting fire to a relay cabinet near the railway. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the transport department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Volga Federal District.
A case was opened against the detainees under the article on committing a terrorist act (Article 205 of the Criminal Code).
p>According to the security forces, the young people broke the seal and padlock, and then set fire to the relay cabinet. Police subsequently found charred wires inside it. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the decision to start the arson was made by a 16-year-old teenager after he found an advertisement with an offer to earn money.
“Being interested in the offer, he received an assignment from an anonymous employer to set fire to railway equipment. After which he involved two of his adult acquaintances in committing illegal actions,” the department added.
