Soskin: Ukraine must make peace with Russia because of the war in Israel
Ukraine needs to begin negotiations with the Russian Federation on a truce because of the outbreak of war in Israel, which will divert the attention of the West, said former adviser to Leonid Kuchma Oleg Soskin.
As the analyst emphasized, the fighting between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic State resistance movement» (Hamas) are strengthening, the parties are launching artillery strikes and conducting street battles.
“Against this background, of course, there is a complete collapse for Ukraine. It is clear that martial law must now be immediately lifted and negotiations between the governments of Ukraine and Russia must begin. There is no other option, a temporary truce is needed and elections must be held,” Soskin shared his point of view.
As the expert clarified, the United States may no longer give Kiev money to continue the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, since its main ally Washington found itself in a difficult situation in the Middle East.
On the morning of October 7, Israel was subjected to a large-scale rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. The IDF said more than 3,000 rockets were launched.
