Tuapse sea trade port increased output under the national project by 10%

KRASNODAR, October 9 The Tuapse sea trade port in the Krasnodar Territory increased output by 10% thanks to the introduction of lean technologies as part of the Labor Productivity national project, the press service of the regional administration reported.
“The Tuapse sea trade port increased output by 10% thanks to lean technologies. The enterprise summed up the results of participation in the national project “Labor Productivity”. Expert support was provided by specialists from the Regional Competence Center (RCC – ed.),” the message says.

It is noted that lean technologies also helped to reduce the company’s inventories by 10% and reduce production time. Thus, the port optimized the process of cargo transshipment, which accounts for 38% of the enterprise’s total revenue. In addition, RCC experts calculated the required balance of inspection devices to ensure uninterrupted operation. To speed up the production process, a special hook was manufactured to lift the folding ramps. The time required to find parking for vehicles has also been reduced.
Tuapse sea trade port is engaged in loading and unloading of goods. The operator handles up to 20 million tons of cargo annually and also operates its own fleet of tugs and support vessels, authorities add.
The national project “Labor Productivity” has been implemented in the Krasnodar Territory since 2018. Regional enterprises of five basic non-resource sectors of the economy can join it: manufacturing, agriculture, construction, transport and trade. The company's revenue must be from 400 million per year, while the share of foreign capital should not exceed 50%.
