The Ural Technological College — a branch of the National Research Nuclear University «MEPhI» in Zarechny — refused to renew the employment contract with teacher Ivan Zolotov after the denunciation of his colleagues. The teacher told It's my city about this.
According to Zolotov, after the start of the war, he began posting anti-war poems on his VKontakte page. Among them are the works of director Evgenia Berkovich, who is under arrest in the case of justifying terrorism, as well as poets Alexander Galich, Alexander Delfinov, Vera Polozkova and others.
In June, Zolotov’s colleagues — head of the college security department Evgeniy Oleynikov-Mendrukh , teacher Natalya Zerkaliy and two other people whose names are unknown, noticed these poems and wrote denunciations to the police.
“The essence of Alexander Galich’s poem is that the current government, they call it “looters,” took away the victory of the real victors in the Great Patriotic War, and is now praised by it. Zolotov continues to publish and comment on information discrediting the activities of the RF Armed Forces. I consider the posts unacceptable, and the above-mentioned employee does not deserve to bear the title of “teacher,” “It’s my city quotes a fragment from the Oleinikov-Mendrukh survey protocol. Zerkaliy, according to the publication, considered the poems on the teacher’s page “disgusting and provocative.”
Zolotov’s employment contract ended in June. At first, the director of the college gave the teacher a notice of indefinite extension of the contract, but later, due to complaints from colleagues, he “changed his mind.” “It was an awkward moment for him,” said Zolotov.
In August, protocols were drawn up against Zolotov for “discrediting” the army (Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code). According to It's my city, they will be considered on October 27. A linguistic examination carried out in administrative cases found in the published poems not only signs of “discrediting” the army, but also “calls for a change in the Constitutional system,” the publication writes.
