OMSK, October 25 An elderly resident of Omsk is accused of torturing three children whose guardian she was, the press service of the RF SUSK for the Omsk region reported.
Investigators found that from December 2020 to September 2022, the 57-year-old woman was the guardian of three children, 14, 13 and 9 years old. At first they lived in the Altai Territory, and then moved to Omsk. All this time, the woman used force and insulted the children.
“The accused cruelly treated the guardians, used illegal methods of education against them, and at the slightest offense or imaginary disobedience, inflicted bodily harm and insulted «During the investigation, the accused was removed from guardianship, the children were placed in a rehabilitation center for minors. A proposal was submitted to the guardianship authorities to eliminate the causes and conditions that contributed to the commission of the crime,» the press service said.
It is noted that criminal cases have been initiated under the articles “torture of minors” (Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and “failure to fulfill obligations to raise children” (Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The woman faces imprisonment for a term of 3 to 7 years.
