MOSCOW, November 1. The United States needs to withdraw its troops from the Middle East so as not to expose them to danger, retired US Army Lt. Col. Daniel Davis said on Fox News.
““We need to reduce our vulnerability and get our guys out of there,” — he said.
According to the expert, the presence of American military bases in this region could “drag the United States into another Middle East war.”
“And this is the worst thing that can happen for American national interests today,” — Davis added.
Earlier, a senior Pentagon official told reporters that the US military has already suffered 23 attacks in Iraq and Syria using drones and missiles over the past two weeks.
