MOSCOW, Oct 31 Moscow Region Deputy Boris Nadezhdin said that he would run for president from the “Civil Initiative” party, since he had collaborated a lot with it recently, and its program corresponds to his ideas about where the country should be led.
Earlier, Nadezhdin said that he was going to the presidential elections in 2024 with the idea of making Russia the main country in Europe.
“From the Civil Initiative,” said Nadezhdin, answering the question of which party he is going to run for president.
Nadezhdin explained that he has a “long history of cooperation” with the party. “And with Andrei Nechaev, the leader of the “Civil Initiative” — we have been comrades-in-arms, like-minded people for many decades — and recently I have been cooperating quite a lot with the party headed by Nechaev. That is, this party nominated me for governor of the Moscow region, my comrades for local elections,” he explained.
“Well, in principle, there are not many parties left in Russia whose program directly corresponds to what I think about where the country needs to be led,» added Nadezhdin. He noted that to be nominated for the presidency of Russia, it is very important that the party nominates you, because «if you are nominated by a party, you need to collect 100 thousand signatures, and if you are a self-nominated candidate, then 300 thousand signatures «.
The Russian presidential elections are scheduled for March 2024.
