SIMFEROPOL, October 31 Head of the Zaporozhye social movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov, commenting on the statement of US presidential candidate from the Republican Party Vivek Ramaswami on new regions of the Russian Federation, pointed out the error in his words: not just Russian speakers live there, but Russian people.
Earlier, Ramaswami said that residents of the new regions of Russia are not only Russian-speaking, most of them “don’t even consider themselves part of Ukraine.”
«Vivek Ramaswami did not discover anything new. He simply voiced the truth, which is already known to everyone. I would only like to draw attention to the mistake he made. Russian people live in new regions, and not just Russian-speaking or mythical Russian-speaking Ukrainians, that for many years Ukrainian propaganda has been trying to manipulatively introduce it into the public consciousness,” Rogov said.
According to him, society in Western countries is starting to get tired of supporting the regime of Vladimir Zelensky, so American politicians are starting to make more balanced statements in relation to Russia, trying to please their voters in order to get more votes in the upcoming elections .
Referendums on the entry of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the Russian Federation were held on September 23-27, 2022. Based on the results of processing 100% of the ballots in the DPR, 99.23% of voters voted in favor of joining the Russian Federation, in the LPR — 98.42%, in the Kherson region — 87.05%, in the Zaporozhye region — 93.11%. On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke in the Kremlin on the results of these referendums, after which he signed agreements with their heads on the admission of regions to Russia.
