MOSCOW, 5 NovThe funeral of actor Matthew Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing in the American TV series “Friends,” took place in Hollywood at a cemetery located near the studio where the cult series was filmed, reports TMZ.
“Matthew Perry was buried this week… his old colleagues were present at the modest meeting,” the portal writes. It is noted that the cemetery at Forest Lawn Memorial Park is just a stone's throw from the Warner Bros. studio, where the series “Friends” was filmed.
According to the portal, no more than 20 people, including relatives and friends of the actor, attended the farewell ceremony near the burial site. His colleagues in the series “Friends” – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow, who also played the main roles in it – said goodbye to the actor.
Perry died at the age of 54. According to sources of the TMZ portal, the actor's body was found in the jacuzzi at his home. It is noted that no traces of drugs were found at the scene, and the death was non-violent.
Perry gained wide popularity thanks to the role of Chandler Bing in the famous American TV series “Friends”. In addition, the actor’s film career includes a number of leading roles in the famous romantic comedies “Hurry and Make People Laugh,” “The Fraudsters,” “Tango for Three,” as well as the crime comedy “The Whole Nine Yards.” Perry was nominated for prestigious American film awards such as the Golden Globe and Emmy.
