MOSCOW, November 7On Tuesday, Russian Railways showed in Moscow the Santa Claus train, which will depart from Veliky Ustyug on November 11, travel through Russian cities and make stops in about 80 of them, and return to Veliky Ustyug on January 13, the correspondent reports.
The Santa Claus train is a joint project of Russian Railways and the government of the Vologda region. The train set off for the first time in 2021. Russian Railways, seeing its popularity among children and adults, began to launch the Santa Claus train every year from 2022.
The weather at the capital's Kievsky railway station on Tuesday is not yet New Year's. There is no snow yet. Passengers are running about their business. And among this everyday bustle stands the fabulous train of Santa Claus. For a moment I want to rub my eyes, because there are still almost 2 months until the New Year: where does this miracle come from? But the train is real, the correspondent was convinced. Inside the structure there is a festively decorated residence and reception room for Father Frost, a fairy-tale village for games and quests, a stage and a puppet theater for performances. On the train there is a shop with northern souvenirs, a buffet and a restaurant for tea parties. The train's passengers are Father Frost himself and his fabulous team. There are sleeping cars for them. Wizards need to rest too.
The train route is determined annually. As the correspondent noted on the diagram, this year he will visit 65 cities with a festive program, but, in addition, he will make stops in more than 15 cities with a short program. It is clarified that the full route, show schedule and tickets for visiting the mobile residence of Father Frost and the puppet theater will be on the Russian Railways website.
Where the train makes a long stop, station visitors will be treated to a festive program with the participation of Father Frost. There is a souvenir shop and a cafe.
