
MOSCOW, November 10. Inflation in Russia in October slowed to 0.83% from 0.87% in September, and accelerated in annual terms to 6.69 % from 6% a month earlier, Rosstat reported on Friday.
«In October 2023, compared to September 2023, the consumer price index amounted to 100.83%, compared to December 2022 — 105.47%,» the report says.
Food inflation in October amounted to 1.35% in monthly terms; in annual terms, food prices increased by 6%.
Non-food products rose in price by 0.55% over the past month, and in annual terms — by 5.08%. Prices for services in October increased by 0.48% compared to September; price growth year on year — 9.92%.
As indicated in the document, an increase in consumer prices of 0.9% or more was recorded in 45 constituent entities of Russia. To the greatest extent (by 1.7%) in Khakassia due to the rise in prices of food products (by 2.2%) and services (by 2.0%). In Moscow, prices for the month increased by 0.6%, in St. Petersburg — by 0.8% (from the beginning of the year — the price increase was 5.5% and 4.9%, respectively).
According to the forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development, inflation in Russia in 2023 will be 7.5%, in 2024 it will slow down to 4.5%.
