The FSB reported on the detention of a resident of Divnogorsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, in a case of treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code). The department's press release is quoted by Interfax.
Security officials claim that the Siberian “for a fee” sent Ukrainian intelligence officers coordinates and photographs of military units and infrastructure located in the region.
In the footage of the video distributed by the FSB, the suspect with a blurred face says that six months ago “representatives of the SBU came to him” and “offered to cooperate.”
“Because I sympathize with the people dying in Ukraine, I agreed. <…> In the end, I handed over photographs of two objects: the Divnogorsk hydroelectric power station and the military air defense unit standing next to it. <…> After which I was asked to find some other military infrastructure facilities and also visit them and take photographs. I also saw a military vehicle on the road and, assuming that they were moving towards the air defense facilities of Divnogorsk, I reported this in writing,” the detainee said.
At the end of the video, the man says that he “repents of what he did.” The court sent him into custody.
