ST. PETERSBURG, November 17 Russia is committed to working closely with those who shares the values of peace and supports cultural diversity, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“I would like to emphasize that Russia is committed to working closely together with everyone who shares our values of peace, friendship and mutual respect, who is ready to take part in the formation of modern a multipolar world based on civilizational and cultural diversity,” Putin said at a meeting of the St. Petersburg Cultural Forum. According to him, bringing together the identity of peoples in equal rights and opportunities for all states is the key to the successful development of mankind. And the forum of united cultures, its discussions and ideas are designed to help achieve these goals, attracting more and more authoritative and young creative figures, teachers, scientists, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists, the president added.
“It can become a permanent platform for making important decisions in the humanitarian sphere. Of course, Russia is ready to provide such work,” Putin added.
The Ninth St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum takes place from November 16 to 18.
