MOSCOW, November 20. AvtoVAZ maintains plans to produce a pilot batch of the e-Largus model at the plant in Izhevsk: production of 30 such cars will be launched in the second decade December, company president Maxim Sokolov told reporters.
““We are planning in the second ten days of December… In total, this batch will include about 30 cars,” he said on the sidelines of the Federation Council, answering a question about the release of a pilot batch of e-Largus.
According to the top manager, these are commercial vehicles, but, as a rule, they are given to subordinate organizations or the AvtoVAZ structure itself. They will not be available at dealerships.
AvtoVAZ owns production sites in Togliatti, Izhevsk and St. Petersburg. In mid-May last year, the French Renault transferred its share in AvtoVAZ (67.69%) to the state ownership of the Russian Federation. Now the brand consists of four families of models: Vesta, Largus, Granta and Niva. Sales of brand cars in 2022 amounted to 188.6 thousand cars (-46% by 2021).
